Fannie Lou Hamer DVD Box Set

About:

As the final project for Graphic Design 2, each student seletected a famous activist and had to design a DVD box set which included a 150 page book, a cd case, and a box to hold the items. My subject was Fannie Lou Hamer, a strong and proud woman who fought for voting rights in the 1950s in the South. The design motif behind the project was Fannie's unquestionable strength in her ideals which is represented using rough matierals. The box itself also represents the difficulties of voting during the 1950s, as it's a physical voting box which restricts the user.

Hex Redux Booklet

PDF File URL: www.msegreto.com/redux.pdf

About:

The Hex booklet was a class project in Graphic Design 1 where an object was reductively drawn and then turned into a booklet. The object I chose was the bolt and nut. I made the booklet based on the Lewis Bolt and Nut company, which has no affiliation, to show the bolt and nut object. I decided on a corporate and professional theme to echo that this is an official company booklet.

About:

The Kohler Poster was for a class project in Design 300. The assignment was to research background information on the Kohler company and create a booklet and poster to represent Kohler. I chose to put emphasis on the company product images as they showed the company's pristine quality. I also went with a blue motif symbolizing water along with orange to compliment.

Johann Froben Booklet

PDF File URL: www.msegreto.com/Froben.pdf

About:

The Johann Froben Booklet was a class project in Design 322 in which a famous printer was selected and a booklet was designed and printed about the printer. The design has a "stained-glass" and antique style, which emphasizes Froben's large volume of work on the Greek Bible. The colors used are subdued analogous oranges with complimentary blues and purples which give the booklet its antique look. The booklet also uses works that Forben has printed, such as his crest.
